Zahra Islam

I'm a 3rd year PhD student with A/Prof Chris Greening at Monash University. I completed my Bachelor of Advanced Science (Hons, 1st class) at the University of New South Wales, majoring in molecular biology and microbiology. My PhD project focuses around characterising the determinants of atmospheric gas scavenging in environmental bacterial; both attempting to uncover which phyla are responsible for this phenomenon and to understand the biochemical processes that underpin their persistence off atmospheric gases.
