Daniel R Knight
Dr Dan Knight completed his PhD in 2018 under Tom Riley at the University of Western Australia, investigating Clostridium difficile epidemiology in animals. He is currently an NHMRC Early Career Fellow at Murdoch University and an adjunct Research Fellow at UWA.
Dan is an emerging leader in the field of C. difficile evolution. Three years post-PhD, he has published over 50 papers in this area and leads an international program of research focusing on aspects of C. difficile molecular epidemiology, One Health, AMR, and taxonomy.
Dan serves on the editorial boards of Anaerobe and Epidemiology and Infection. He is a member of the C. difficile Working Group of the International Society of Antimicrobial Chemotherapy and has been a committee member of the WA branch of ASM for 9 years, the last two as Treasurer.
